Personnel background highlights

Jim Boggess, President & CEO. Jim graduated from the University of Louisville with a broad technical background and a degree in Chemistry. He has been employed by Tabler since 1962. Initially involved in raw material and equipment sales. Jim has owned and operated Tabler since 1965. Jim has led expansion of Tabler over the years which has included state of the art facilities, computerization, and software implementation.

Eric Boggess, Vice President and General Manager. Eric received a Bachelor's degree in Chemistry from the University of Kentucky. Eric has 18 years experience at Tabler in technical sales covering western Tennessee, Ohio, and West Virginia. He is now involved primarily in various management duties.

Richard Sewell, Vice President. Richard has been with Tabler for 32 years. He received a bachelor's degree in Chemical Engineering from the University of Kentucky. After working as a chemical process engineer at E. I. DuPont for 3 years, he came to the Tabler Company in 1971. Richard covers a sales territory comprised of central and southern Indiana, including Indianapolis, Lafayette and Evansville. He also functions as the sales manager for many of our principals. This duty includes co-ordination of sales and marketing efforts on their behalf and setting pricing policy for products we distribute.

Bill Watkins, Technical Sales. Bill received degrees in both Chemistry and Biology from the University of Louisville. He worked for thirteen years as a development chemist at Celanese in Louisville. Research areas were epoxies, high solids acrylics, and urethanes with substantial waterborne experience. He worked on synthesis, applications, and tech service for products in automotive, general industrial, and can coatings markets and has received several patents. He has been with Tabler over twelve years and coordinates resin sales and marketing for Tabler. Bill also covers southwestern Ohio.

Larry Krock, Technical Sales, Cleveland office. Larry graduated from Indiana University with a degree in Chemistry in 1972. Larry joined Cargill as a development chemist and moved into the sales department. Larry then joined the Tabler Company, specializing in resins. In 1984 he joined the BASF Colorant sales organization, first in sales and then in product management where he was responsible for pigments and dyes in the coatings, plastics, and specialty ink markets. Larry rejoined Tabler in October, 2000.

Phil Chandler, Technical Sales, Nashville office. Phil is a graduate of the University of Tennessee with a degree in Analytical Chemistry and University of Akron in Rubber Technology. Phil has over 20 years experience in the tire and rubber industry. He joined Cytec Industries in 1994 with responsibility for technical and new product/process development for the global rubber and textile industries. Phil will call on the rubber industry nationwide and the paint, coatings, ink, plastics, adhesive and sealants market in Tennessee, Mississippi, Alabama, Georgia, North Carolina and South Carolina.
